Stanley Hardware Gate Thumb Latch - Black Coated

Steel/Black coated finish. 1. Mark position for thumb piece slot. 2. Drill 1/4" holes, 1/2" apart, center to center, through door. 3. Remove material between holes. 4. Insert thumb piece through key hole in handle. Turn thumb piece right side up to proper position. 5. Insert thumb piece through hole in door. 6. With thumb piece resting on bottom of slot, mark handle screw locations. 7. Drill 3/32" pilot holes. 8. Fasten handle. 9. Insert bushing in bar. 10. Position bar on door. 11. Drill 3/32" pilot hole. 12. Fasten with pan head screw. 13. Position guide on door edge and mark screw locations with bar resting on thumb piece and point "B". 14. Drill 3/32" pilot holes. 15. Fasten guide. 16. Position strike on jamb and mark screw locations aligning point "A" on strike with point "B" on guide. 17. Drill 3/32" pilot holes. 18. Fasten strike.
